Artist Statement

I aim to capture the beauty of nature in each piece; color, balance, and space are my most influential avenues of design. I look to incorporate architecture or metal into landscapes or macro images. These contrast between nature and industrialization creates interest and separation that appeals to me. Photographer, Erick Dent, uses the Florida coast as his shooting space. He photographs people, nature, or products for companies. His use of natural colors is something I would like to achieve in my photos. Lighting that accents one side of my subject is ideal - it creates movement as it draws the audience’s eye from one side of the image and causes it to drift over to the other.
